New True Crime Podcasts: July 2026 Releases

Every month we track new true crime podcast launches and rate the ones worth your time. July 2026 brings a mix of investigative series, cold case deep-dives, and a surprising comedy-adjacent entry. Here's what's arrived.

How We Score New Releases

Each new show gets an editorial verdict and a Binge Factor score out of 10. Scores for brand-new shows are provisional and may change as a series develops. Listeners can add their own ratings on six dimensions once a show is in the directory.

What to Listen to While You Wait

If July's slate is light on your preferred sub-genre, here are our standing recommendations by mood:

• For cold case obsessives: Browse our cold case podcasts section — over 40 reviewed shows.
• For investigative depth: The investigative journalism category has our highest-rated series.
• For UK crime: British true crime podcasts — local stories with BBC production quality.

Didn't Make the Cut This Month

Some new releases we reviewed but didn't recommend, and why:

• Feeds that relaunched with new branding — repackaged content from earlier seasons doesn't count as new.
• Shows with fewer than three episodes published — too early to score fairly.
• Content that relies on unverified social media claims — we don't recommend shows that haven't verified their primary sources.
