Heart

Heart is an eight-part Apple Original podcast hosted by Karen Kilgariff, co-host of My Favorite Murder, and produced by Plan B and the UK studio Blanchard House. It tells the story of heart-transplant recipient Sonny Graham, who fell in love with his donor's widow and later died. The official conclusion in both his death and that of his donor, Terry Cottle, was suicide; Sonny's family disputes that in the series, and that is the family's view, not an established fact. The series examines the theory that a transplanted heart might carry its donor's trauma, an idea the show notes mainstream science dismisses. It premiered on 19 October 2026, with the first three episodes free and the rest released weekly until 23 November; Apple TV subscribers can hear all eight. Content warning: suicide. Support is available from Samaritans on 116 123.
